Family Planning

Our doctors provide contraceptive services; please make a normal surgery appointment. Emergency contraception (morning after pill), coil fitting and implants are also available (please note that not all GPs will give the morning after pill). The morning after pill can also be obtained from Pharmacies but please check as there may be a charge.

Physiotherapist

We have a First Contact Physiotherapist service every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.  You can see the physiotherapist for a first contact assessment instead of seeing a doctor.  The physiotherapist can assess many physical injuries and pains.  Appointments are 20 minutes long.  This new service has proved to be very popular and we have increased capacity with 3 sessions every week. These sessions are for assessment and are not "hands on" or manipulation treatment. The Physiotherapist will refer you to the MSK service if you need further investigations or treatment.

Well Person Check

This health promotion service is designed to give information and advice over healthier lifestyles. In addition, screening is performed to pick up the four main risk factors for heart disease: high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking and a high cholesterol level. Our Nursing Associate can carry out these checks and provide healthy lifestyle advice.
